I haven’t been this excited for a new Beachbody program since last November when Core De Force was released! (If you haven’t tried Core De Force yet, it’s a must!) But now, on July 12th there’s going to be a brand new program with a brand new trainer. Shift Shop is going to be a game-changer! Why? Because it’s a program made for anyone, no matter what your current fitness level and no matter what your goals is!
Here’s the quick 411 on everything you should know about Shift Shop. For more detailed info keep reading!
- Shift shop release date: July 12th on Beachbody On Demand
- Program level: beginner–intermediate
- 3-weeks long, 6 workouts/week, 1 rest day
- Daily workout length: 25-45 minutes (strength & cardio)
- Equipment needed: set of weights, yoga/fitness mat, agility markers
- Meal plan using Portion Fix container system
- Ideal for weight loss, agility, and muscle toning

Before Beachbody releases any new program to the public, they enlist the help of a few Team Beachbody Coaches to test the program. They want to make sure the program is perfect and that real people get results—and with Shift Shop, they’re getting spectacular results! What Are the Shift Shop Workouts Like?
Through Beachbody On Demand I was able to try a sneak peek of one of the workouts, and it was incredible!
The program alternates between cardio and strength training while increasing in length and intensity each week with a rest day on Sunday.
On on Week 1 your workouts are just 25 minutes long Monday-Saturday. By the time you’re on Week 3 you’ll be up to 45 minutes per day and the workouts will be more intense than Week 1. But guess what? The workouts in Week 1 and 2 will have prepared you for the length and intensity in Week 3!
There are also 2 optional workouts that come with the program:
- 12-minute core workout can be added to any day you feel you’ve got more energy left
- Stretch and recovery workout for Sundays
What is the Shift Shop Nutrition Plan?
The meal plan for Shift Shop uses those same Portion Fix containers that 21 Day Fix made so popular! But this program uses the containers in a unique way: each week your meal plan will change slightly to help you get the most from the workouts!
Week 1 – If you’ve done the 21 Day Fix, this may week may feel similar, but with more guidelines when it comes to the types of foods.
Week 2 – You’ll see a change in your yellow container (carbs), and be consuming less “starchy” carbs.
Week 3 – It’s time to cut out the yellow container completely from your day. Insead, you’ll increase your blue container (healthy fats) and red container (protein).
Questions I’ve Gotten About Shift Shop
What’s the equipment needed for Shift Shop?
- A set of hand weights (weight you choose depends on your strength)
- Yoga or fitness mat to help with comfort on certain moves
- A set of Shift Shop Agility Markers
How do I get the agility markers?
If you’re purchasing a Challenge Pack they’ll come with your shipment. And if you’re completing Shift Shop through Beachbody On Demand you can purchase the agility markers separately through Team Beachbody. If you need help finding them, let me know!
How much space do I need to do do the workouts?
You may need to move the coffee table out of the way or push the couch back, but you definitely don’t need a ton of space for Shift Shop. Just make sure you have enough space to be able to move a few steps from front-to-back- and side-to-side and you should be set!
What fitness level is Shift Shop designed for?
Literally, all fitness levels! In the program materials you’ll find that it’s rated as a beginner to intermediate program, but even if you’ve been working at your fitness goals for a while you’ll benefit from the agility training in this program!
Beginners can follow the modifications throughout the program for an easier workout and if you’re feeling good about yourself you can try following along with everyone else! But I always like to tell challengers: “try before you modify!” Give each move a shot before going into the modification.
