Can you guys believe it’s already November?! This year has just flown by, pretty soon we’ll all be gathered around the TV watching the ball drop, and setting our new resolutions for the year, but have you even accomplished your 2016 resolutions yet? If you’re like most people your resolution for the new year (just like every other year) was to either lose weight or get in shape. And, if you’re like most people, it didn’t happen.
It’s okay to admit it—life happens and things get in the way, we just have to get back on track! Even with 2 months to spare you can still turn things around and accomplish those “new year, new you” resolutions, you just have to take a step back, come up with a new game-plan, and finish the year strong!
How can you lose weight in just 2 months?
Step 1: Redefine your fitness goals
It’s unrealistic to think that you’ll be able to reach your original New Year’s resolution, so set a new goal, one that you’ll be able to achieve in 2 months. Keep this in mind when deciding on a new goal: a healthy weight loss rate is 2 pounds per week.
Step 2: Figure out a game-plan
The best way to lose weight and get in-shape is to do 2 simple things: eat healthier and workout. Easier said than done, huh? For me, Beachbody was the key to learning how to eat right and find time to workout. If you haven’t read my story, check it out here.
Each Beachbody program comes with workouts to follow along with (we’ve all seen those infomercials 1,000 times!), but they also come with a meal plan to guide you through your nutrition. Yeah, and they honestly couldn’t be easier to follow!
Decide what works best for you, if that’s going to the gym, then do it, but I found the missing link was the nutrition and accountability which I lacked for a long time while going to the gym, and even with a personal trainer. The support and motivation I gained as a part of Beachbody and Shakeology are what filled in those missing links! Step 3: Get support
Sometimes all you need is a little motivation and support. Get a friend to join you and lose weight together or motivate the whole family to eat healthier with you. If either of those options aren’t working out (because I know picky kids can be so hard eat healthy with!), then consider getting a coach or joining a group!
Step 4: Stun everyone at those holiday parties
