Job 1 – Learn to Make Your Fitness Your #1 Job

Beachbody’s final program of 2021 is almost ready to launch and I am SO pumped! Many of the women I work with struggle finding the time to workout (especially during the holiday season) and Job 1 is here to help! The 20-minute workouts are designed to get you results in the least amount of time possible! I know I need this and I’m sure you do, too!

What Can You Expect From the Job 1 Program?

Job 1 is all about learning to prioritize your health and fitness! Often, especially as moms, we put ourselves on the backburner — there are so many other priorities we have in our lives that working out feels like more of an “if I have time” type of task.

Instead, Job 1 is based on the idea that your well-being should be your #1 job!

And I couldn’t agree more! When you focus on YOU, you’re able to be your best self for those around you each and every day. You’ll have more energy. You’ll be in a more positive mood. You’ll feel happy and confident!

Job 1 is going to help ease you into making that shift in your life! 

And if you already work out regularly, you’ll still get a killer workout I tried the Sample Workout (scroll below to try it yourself) and I could definitely feel it the next day — it was such a good workout in such a short amount of time!

Time Commitment

My favorite thing about Job 1 is the time commitment, all it takes is 20 minutes per day AND you get weekends off! It’s so perfect for any busy season in your life, like the holidays or busy summers when the kids are out of school.

  • 5 days/week (weekends off!)
  • 20 minutes/day
  • 4 weeks

But just because it’s only 4 weeks doesn’t mean you should look at it as a quick-fix program. It’s an AWESOME start and you’ll definitely lose weight and feel better, but it’s designed to help you get ready to take on a bigger challenge.

Once you complete Job 1, I’ll help you choose another program to move onto so you don’t lose momentum!

The Workouts

No matter which type of workouts you like, and no matter what your goal is (weight loss, muscle toning, etc.), there’s going to be something for you in Job 1! Each week you’ll see 4 different types of workouts:

  • 3 strength training days
  • 1 endurance cardio day
  • 1 HIIT cardio day
  • Optional cycling

What can you expect during the strength training days?

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday you’ll have a strength training workout. Each day you’ll rotate through working on different muscle groups, so by the end of the week, there won’t be a single muscle you haven’t worked! Each workout will be a little different to help challenge your muscles every day.

What will the cardio workouts be like?

Each Tuesday you’ll tackle HIIT cardio, a great way to burn tons of calories fast! I know a lot of people think that HIIT sounds hard, but with all the mini-breaks you get it’s actually easier than you might think! On Thursdays, you’ll pick up the weights and add the resistance bands to your workout during your 20-minute endurance cardio workout!

What is the cycling option?

If you have an indoor bike, like the MYX II, you’ll have the option to swap out your Thursday workout for one of 4 different cycling classes!


Wat to get a taste of what the Job 1 workouts are all about? Try this full-length sample workout! All you’ll need is a set of medium dumbbells and resistance loops.


Equipment

Another thing that I love about this program is that it doesn’t require a lot of equipment! All you’ll need for Job 1:

  • Light, Medium, and Heavy Dumbbells
  • Resistance Loops
  • Optional: Mat (for added comfort)
  • Optional: Stationary Bike (like the MYX II)

Meal Plan

What type of nutrition plan will you be following for Job 1? Well, that is totally up to you! You have two options to choose from — you can either follow the Portion Fix plan or 2B Mindset. Both are great options and I’ve had clients see success with both of them!
